Introducing the Kim Williams Design Showroom: An immersive journey, where interior design is reimagined

by Media Xpose

Cape Town-based interior designer Kim Williams announces the opening of the highly anticipated Kim Williams Design showroom. This vibrant and immersive space invites visitors to explore and interact with every aspect of her creations, including exclusive collaborations.

One such collaboration to be unveiled at the opening is the Rakgadi Interior Range – a partnership between Kim Williams and renowned fashion designer Jessica Jane Molebatsi. This collection merges fashion and home décor showcasing an extraordinary display of artistry and heritage.

The Rakgadi Interior Range draws inspiration from the strength of community and the rich heritage of Tswana culture, particularly celebrating the influential role of women – our “aunties” – in shaping both our lives and our environments. The Rakgadi Interior Range presents a fresh perspective on interior design that goes beyond mere aesthetics, offering meaningful storytelling woven into each piece.

Among the standout features of the Rakgadi Range are the exquisite carpets produced in collaboration with Airloom and the eye-catching placemats, both designed to elevate any dining experience. The dinnerware line, featuring earthy tones and rich textures, promises to be a conversation starter, at every table, blending traditional elements with contemporary flair. The range also includes chairs, cushions, and soon-to-be-released wallpapers.

“I’m incredibly excited to continue collaborating with Jessica Jane. The synergy between our works reflects our mutual love for South African symbolism and the beauty of our country. It’s about creating spaces that are not just stylish but also culturally resonant. Every item in the Rakgadi Range is a tribute to our heritage, embodying both mindfulness and artistic intention,” said Kim Williams

Stepping into an immersive design experience

The showroom itself is a carefully curated space designed to evoke inspiration and facilitate a unique experience for clients. The goal is to redefine how people perceive and interact with their surroundings, showcasing how intentional design can shape spaces to positively influence their lives.

The showroom allows visitors to engage with Kim Williams Design’s extensive offerings, from bespoke furniture to artisanal lighting and exquisite fabrics sourced from local artisans.

“Interior design is more than just choosing fabrics and wall colours; it’s about creating an experience. In our showroom, visitors won’t just find products—they’ll discover the full range of possibilities for their spaces. This is where art meets function, empowering everyone to feel confident in their design choices,” said Kim Williams.

The inspiring and innovative showroom  allows visitors  to envision how the various interior items  can come together to tell a unique story in their own home.

“From the moment you step into the showroom, you’ll feel the artistry and passion that goes into every selection. We are committed to showcasing the best of South African design, making high-quality craftsmanship accessible to everyone, everywhere,” concludes  Kim Williams.

The showroom will open its doors to the public Mondays to Fridays from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Experience the transformative power of mindful design.
