Now, Miele is ushering in a new era of bagged cylinder vacuum cleaners with the launch of the Guard series – a collection that brings together cutting-edge technology, superior hygiene, and timeless design.

Unmatched hygiene with ComfortFit bags
The Guard range introduces Miele’s new ComfortFit bag concept, a secure and hygienic dust collection system that makes changing bags effortless while keeping dust completely contained. “This is especially important for allergy sufferers and anyone who prioritises a cleaner home environment,” Champion explains. The HyClean Pure vacuum cleaner bag is made from 80% recycled materials and captures 99.99% of dust particles, setting a new benchmark for filtration performance.
Endorsed by the Allergy Foundation South Africa
In recognition of its outstanding air purification capabilities, the Allergy Foundation South Africa (AFSA) has officially endorsed the Guard Allergy and Comfort models, making them the only domestic vacuum cleaners in South Africa to carry the AFSA Seal of Approval.
This endorsement centres on the performance of the HEPA 13 filter, which is specially engineered to trap up to 99.95% of allergens and fine dust particles as small as 0.1 microns. The filter captures harmful particles such as pollen, mould spores, pet dander, and dust mites, preventing them from being released back into the air during vacuuming.
