Johannesburg, 12 June 2023. Challenger brand, AEG’s Matte Black kitchen appliance range is gaining popularity in South Africa with the striking contrast the appliances offer to complement the current classic timeless trend in kitchen design.
“All-white kitchens are taking a step back as consumers opt for bold or contrasting colour palettes that are incorporated into splash backs, wall colours, counter tops and appliances,” says Chef Nti, Brand Ambassador for AEG.
The elegant sophistication in the Matte Black range is able integrate perfectly into a variety of kitchen designs from sophisticated minimalism to rustic and country. And practically, with the simple wipe of a microfibre cloth, any splatters or water spots can easily be wiped away.
“The Matte Black Collection introduces a new tactile appliance finish as textured matte emerges as a trend across interior surface, homeware, and technology products. The Matte Black Collection combines years of material engineering and design expertise for an exclusive, premium, and sophisticated aesthetic,” she says.
But, for AEG it isn’t simply about the design element but functionality for every home cook. The Matt Black range does not simply dare to challenge design, but also allows the home chef to benefit from technological invention that will allow them to expand their culinary repertoire.
“This includes functions such Assisted Cooking, which is your at-home sous chef. Scroll through menus to select a food category and the oven will generate the correct settings for the dish. You can even choose how you would like your meat cooked and for added safety the oven will automatically power down after cooking,” says Nti.
The SenseCook range also has Pyrolytic cleaning, which saves on cleaning products and bodes better for the environment.
AEG’s Matt Black range has also won the esteemed Red Dot Design Award: AEG Matt Black Collection (red-dot.org) as well as the iE Design award.
