Saint-Gobain has once again been recognised as a Top Employer Global, marking its eleventh consecutive year receiving the certification worldwide and its twelfth year in South Africa.
The recognition confirms the group’s consistent people-first approach across 40 countries, placing Saint-Gobain among just 17 companies globally to achieve this status.
Global recognition for people practices
Awarded by the Top Employers Institute, the certification recognises excellence in human resources policies and practices. Saint-Gobain achieved the 2026 Global Top Employer title following independent assessments across all participating countries, reinforcing its position as a global employer of choice.
Claire Pedini, Senior Vice-President of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility at Saint-Gobain, says the certification reflects the group’s long-term commitment to its people.
She explains that the recognition speaks to an ethical, inclusive working environment built on trust, skills development and equal opportunity. It also supports the company’s purpose of making the world a better home while contributing positively to society and the sustainable transition.
Areas of excellence highlighted
The Top Employers Institute assessment highlighted several strong performance areas that underpin Saint-Gobain’s HR strategy.
Ethics and integrity achieved a full 100 percent score, aligned with the group’s Principles of Conduct and Action. Purpose and values scored 99.85 percent, driven by the company’s global purpose. Learning and development reached 97.32 percent, reflecting continued investment in employee skills and employability.
Sustainability scored 91.97 percent, showing growing integration of environmental and social priorities into management practices. Employer branding reached 91.9 percent, reflecting strong internal and external recognition of the group’s commitments.
