Starlite® Insulation offers one of the best comfort-to-cost ratios in the market, making it a reliable solution for roof insulation projects across all types of buildings.
High-Performance Material
Manufactured from high-quality, non-combustible glassfibre/glasswool using an inert thermosetting binder, Starlite® is lightweight, strong, resilient, safe, and highly thermally efficient. The material not only improves comfort but also provides long-term energy savings for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Thermal Benefits
Available in Foil, White, or Black-faced finishes, Starlite® Insulation is ideal for high-humidity environments as it helps prevent condensation. It is also maintenance-free and built to last, offering robust thermal values across multiple thicknesses:
- 50mm (12kg/m³): R-value 1.28 m²K/W
- 75mm (12kg/m³): R-value 1.92 m²K/W
- 100mm (12kg/m³): R-value 2.56 m²K/W
- 135mm (12kg/m³): R-value 3.46 m²K/W
Secure & Easy Installation
For over-purlin roof applications, faced Starlite® is manufactured to required lengths and laid directly below the roof sheet. Installation is reinforced with galvanised or PVC-coated straining wire at 300mm centres, while longitudinal flaps are stapled for a secure fit.
Chemically inert and non-hygroscopic, Starlite® will not corrode metals, promote fungi, mould, or bacteria, and it does not sustain vermin.

Fire Safety Classifications
Starlite® is completely non-combustible, achieving top fire safety ratings under SANS 53501-1:
- Foil Faced – A2-s1, d0
- White Faced – A2-s1, d0
- Black Faced – A2-s1, d0
Approved for use in all single and multi-level structures, Starlite® meets the requirements of SANS 10400-A Regulation A20 and SANS 10400-T Fire Protection.
Eco-Friendly Insulation
Sustainability is at the core of Starlite®. The product has zero Ozone Depleting Potential (ODP) and zero Global Warming Potential (GWP). It contains no CFCs, HCFCs, or blowing agents, ensuring a safe, environmentally friendly formulation.
